Just something I thought of before I going to bed.

Jim was a 25 year old who lived in a rundown flat. He leads a rather sad life some might call it. No companion, not enough money for the yelling man every month, doesnt have good clothes and such. His works as a waiter at Mcdonalds which will get him no where.

He takes the subway back home to and fro from work. One day, as he was travelling back home in the train, a man sat next to him. From the way this man dressed and smelled you could tell that he was homeless. The homeless man looked at him and asked...

"If you were put in a situation where your next action or your next answer will either deny your faith or make you lose your world, what would you do?"

The man answered back,"What do I have in this world? All I have is a job with a pay that doesnt even meet my basic needs. My parents died violently in a car crash and fortunately I'm the only the child or I'll have to moan for more deaths. I dont know any uncles and aunts. I dont have much friends. And oh yea the only bloody entertainment I get is my dad's old playboy magazines. It still kinda creeps me out that I'm jerking off to the same stuff my dad did. So yea I'll think I'll take faith thank you. Cause right now it seems to be one of the things I only have right now."

"No, what if you had everything"

"Everything?"

"Yes, everything your heart desires"

"Well then thats simple.."

"Is it?"

"Yea...I would pick my world over my faith"

Just in time they arrived at the next station the homeless man smiles and says,"Well this is where I get off"

Jim was puzzled and asked,"Where do you got to be? I mean you being homeless and all."

"Jim, everyone goes somewhere"

With that, the homeless man walks off leaving Jim pondering over what he has just said.

Yay!! Tomorrow(30 May) cell will be in ONE UTAMA! So please take note that it wont be in DU but we'll be meeting at GSC CINEMA at 6.30pm sharp ok?!

The verse really, rweeaally describes what's going on now. As days go by the more I feel the pressure of being an intern (is this normal John?). Not so much on the physical but more on the psychological.

By the way I came across this song cause well, Daniel picked it for this Friday so I had to at least play it once ... :D. In the midst of playing it, this song spoke to me. As I was playing I felt that love unfailing was taking over my heart. Like you know that feeling when you're about to cry when a Pastor prays for you, yea that.

I have doubts in myself becoming a cell intern every now and then. Wheter or not I was cut for it. I mean that fear you know. That fear of wheter or not I can live up to what it takes to be a cell intern. I mean could I do it? I rarely read the bible. And yeah honestly I havent been doing much seeking either. But as I sang the words..Finding peace again Fear is lost in all you are. Peace I found and fear is lost(not completely though...yet).

Then came the bridge. I would give the world to tell your story... gosh you do not know how that is true(where you take the scale of world and turn it down to a MUCH MUCH smaller scale). I mean I havent fully given up my world yet but certain things like FRIDAY NIGHT PARTIES are definitely over. One cause I have a party EVERY FRIDAY with you guys and secondly...I'm an intern. Oh and to tell your story part...well I think thats counted in seeking God in cell so that I can tell the world His story.

As an intern I have to set an example of coming to cell though theres a really kick ass birthday party going on. Gosh. The funny this is that I knew that I had to sacrifice all these stuff. I just didnt know how hard it would be.

First thing first. WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD I ACCEPT THE JOB AS AN INTERN after knowing that I have to sacrifice a lot of stuff. Well for one, my life was really getting boring. It was the same thing over and over again so I really needed some twist to it. So I accepted thinking that it would be interesting and fun if I served God. Dont get me wrong though. It is interesting...just that the fun part isnt exactly living up to what I expected it to be. But maybe the fun part isnt here yet maybe its later on or something I dont know. Or maybe I have experienced the fun parts just that didnt really know it was the fun part of being an intern. But observing other leaders ... it looks like their having fun.

And then secondly I have been in this church for 16 years of my life and I hardly know anyone in church. So I thought HEY if I was involved with church stuff...I would get to know alot of church people. I wouldnt say the amount of people I know now a lot..but its definitely growing. Lastly, I figured that I could die anytime soon...and I wanted to live for God as much as I can. And also honestly, somehow I keep getting this feeling I'm gonna die young for something great [=)= this is called the mixed emotions formula].Oh well, a problem maybe?Or too much tv. I dont know. You tell me.

I know that you've called me. Honestly, I'm not too sure if he really did call me to be an intern. I was just offered the job. Thought of why I should be an intern, what are the pros and cons, took a dive of faith and said yes.

And then I sang I've lost myself for good within your promise and at that moment I remembered what John told me in the last camp we were at. Okay I didnt remember exactly what he said but I knew it was something about doing things and being blessed...a lot. Now remember what John said to me wasnt from John it was from God...through John. And that my friends, that promise, from God is the promise I hang on to daily to get me through stuff.

And I wont hide it. I wont hide why I became an intern. I wont hide. Because we ought to share our testimony to encourage others to live for God. And I'm doing just that.

No doubt you will doubt and have fear in yourself when it comes to these things but you will definitely find peace again and fear will be lost with the help of God. Sacrifices are to be made when you serve God. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23. And we are called to tell his story by the way. If you want to know more about that ... ask Mei Fong or John New about the Message of Reconciliation :D. And God has a promise for everyone so hang on to that. :D

Entry 16 : It's Cell Time Again!!

Hello peepsie!! How are all of you doing? I bet busy with exams right? Always remember to trust and cling on to God even in this season of life. Of course, do study hard too =)

Anyway, there will be cell as usual this friday (16/5/2008)!! So dont miss it!! It's just for 2 hours and Im sure you can take a time off that night for cell right? You'll be having the whole weekend to do some nerding XD. So please do not skip cell alright.

Hello and Good Day to Everybody!

Kinda busy studyin' for my last 3 papers-so far so good, still praying so keep praying too aite? ;P (and ya'll keep prepin for yourselves too xD)...I'll make this a quickie.

Hillsong United's latest album "The I Heart Revolution: With Hearts as One" is a compilation of tracks from all their recent songs which were all recorded LIVE and on location of their concerts-pretty cool huh? =D (speaking of which they'll be recording a song over at the concert in our church too-so exciting xD)

The DOUBLE DVD-which is coming soon; is all about all the traveling they have done through the years, the places they've been too, people they've met. The highs and the lows-and all recorded on camera to share with us =)

In Summary of what "The I Heart Revolution" is about (quotation from CD insert):

Peeps, Hillsong United Concert tickets will be out TOMORROW!!! (29 April 2008). So start grabbing your tickets (yourself, parents, friends, cousins, uncle, aunties, grandmother, grandfather etc.) NOW!!! There's no booking. So its a first come first serve basis! YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS OUT! IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!

If you have complains (or receives complains) about the price of the tickets, I hope you understand and try to explain to your fellow friends that our church is not trying to earn a single cent from them. All the ticket money is to cover the cost (the team air tickets, loggings, accommodation, renting of instruments and sound system etc.) Guess what? The price that we are paying actually do not cover the entire cost of the concert. But good news peeps, for such a cheap price, you get to bring Hillsong United (the main band) from Aussie to Malaysia!! That's because the concert here will be exactly how it is back in Aussie!! Sounds awesome??

Entry 11 : We're Back With More Happenings!!

Last Saturday we had a great time cellies! Thank you for coming for those who were there.

From the four selection of movies, our dear cellies selected "L Change The World". We had lunch in BBQ Plaza before the movie.

After the movie, some went back while some stayed for a round of bowling and hang-out.

Overall, the day was awesome. For those who missed it, dont worry. There will be another exciting cell event coming up for you during the May holidays =D

So now, after much chilling, it's time to concentrate on your mid-term examination peeps! So study hard and we'll play hard after that okay? Keeping you all in prayer.

Entry 10 : Movie Of the Day??

Here are the choices of movies. Will put up the synopsis of the movies then you make a choice la k? I'll make the decision by tonight so i can get the tickets tomorrow (so please confirm with me whether you are going so i know how many tickets to get). CHOOSE ONE

Choice #1- DEFINITELY, MAYBE
Movie time : 1.50pm

Entry 9: Movie This Saturday!

As you requested cellies. This saturday we'll all go for a movie alright? So we'll be having a lunch then a movie. If there's time, we'll go for bowling. Sounds great? This will be a relaxation for you all before your mid-term exams. So after this, you better study hard ok?! Haha..

So we'll meet at 12.30pm at FCUK. Confirm your attendance best by Friday. Plus, i need to get the movie tickets as well. About the movie, you decide what to watch. I'll go for the highest vote of show (place for lunch as well) So get excited and we'll definitely will have a great time!

Just a gist about this production-
-Its a play, not a movie (many asked me whether its a movie)
- Its on Fri 8.30pm and Sat 5pm. In church yea. Both are the same thing.
- The play is about this guy named Eddie venture into a risky business deal. Later on, problems arises, due to that lives are jeopardized and his very final decision will affect his eternity.
So the question here is-
When all is BROKEN, is there HOPE?

As most of you know we had this years first cell outing/BBQ so now here are the pictures

This is a new interesting, inovative and...well interesting idea (lolz donno any 1 words to descibe this blog xD).

This is DU Cell's Blog. WE the leaders decided to use this blog in order to update everyone in DU Cell about events, inspirational stuff and basically just about anything we want (haha)

Chinese New Year Bash (meaning "PARTAY TIME" xD) is on the 15th of FEBRUARY! It is going to be great time of fellowship and ber-bond(ing). SO bring all your FRIENDS! Let's pray that God will touch the lives of everyone who goes that night! Pray that they'll be open and that everyone will be kind to them and well of course that they'll want to come back again =)
